Lionfish Policies
Lionfish Swimmer Requirements
Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yds unassisted as of the first day of practice. Swimmers unable to do this can sign up for one of the lodge’s levels 3 or 4 classes designed for swimmers working toward full 25 yds of swimming. The Head coach will make the final determination on placement if the swimmer’s ability level is a safety concern.
Lionfish Swimmer Caps
Our goal is to accommodate as many Swim Club and Lodge members as possible for the lionfish swim team while maintaining safety and good coach-to-swimmer ratios. Our practice schedule is broken up based on our best estimate of swimmer numbers while providing the most opportunity for swimmers to practice.
We will be capping our age groups at:
5 – 6 25 Girls and 25 Boys
7 – 8 45 Girls and 40 Boys
9 – 10 70 total swimmers
11 – 12 60 total swimmers
13 + 60 total swimmers
