Jason is excited to be back for his 3rd season as Head Coach of the Lodge 88 Lionfish. He utilizes thoughtful technique-driven coaching to swimmers ages four and older. For the past 20 years, Jason has worked with Houston swimmers of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
Much of Jason’s extensive experience comes from his last 15 years as Head Coach for RICE Aquatics. Under his leadership, the team has grown to over 200 swimmers, achieving new excellence levels and developing into the top 200 ranked USA swim team. Jason is most proud of the lasting relationships built with hundreds of swimmers and families that have stepped on the deck looking to try the sport of swimming and a community of families that have grown into a large swim family.
Jason’s ability to implement proper stroke techniques and mechanics while keeping the atmosphere fun and enjoyable for the swimmers has allowed his athletes to achieve success at all levels of competition.
In addition to the Lionfish, Jason owns and operates HTX Swims a year round swim club and is the Head Swimming Coach at St. John’s.
